Fungus Toenails
Toenail fungus is a condition that many people develop and suffer from. Toenail fungus often results in the discoloration and thickening of the toenail, which can cause embarrassment for many people. The condition begins as a small white or yellow growth beneath the tip of the nail and at its worse can develop into the nail’s deterioration.
Heel Pain
Ever gotten up from a chair or out of bed in the morning, and upon taking that first step, it feel s like your heel has stepped on a tack? This is heel pain. Many people experience a feeling of sharp pain which radiates into their arch from their heel and which does not allow them to put their heel on the floor.
Bunions
A bunion is an enlargement of boney growth or swollen tissue typically located at the base joint of the big toe. The condition is caused by the shifting of the bones in the big toe inward, toward the other toes of the foot. The area around the base of the big toe may become inflamed, red, and painful.
Foot Pain
The feet, being the foundation of the body, carry all of the body’s weight and are therefore prone to experiencing pain and discomfort. If you are experiencing foot pain, it is important to determine where in the foot you are experiencing this pain to help discover the cause of it.
Ingrown Toenails
An ingrown toenail is caused when a toenail grows sideways into the bed of the nail, causing pain and swelling. The nail can sometimes exacerbate and become infected, creating serious drainage.
Hammertoes
Hammertoes are painful deformities that frequently form on the second, third, or fourth toe. The condition is often caused by an issue in foot mechanics: the person’s particular gait or the manner in which they walk, or shoes that do not comfortably fit the deformity.

If you would like to make an appointment with our doctor, please contact our reception staff. Alternatively you may book your appointment online. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time.
Like most clinics, we have a similar process for requesting records. It typically begins with a written or in-person request. “Normally, you will would simply have to call the our clinic and request a copy of the record and pick them up, after signing a release for the records
In order to be respectful of the medical needs of other patients, please be courteous and call DeNiel Foot & Ankle Center promptly if you are unable to show up for an appointment. This time will be reallocated to someone who is in need of treatment. If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled appointment, we require that you call at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand, and your early cancellation will give another person the possibility to have access to timely medical care.
Your initial visit at DeNiel Foot & Ankle Center must be in person. By request, all follow up visits can be conducted by phone or virtually, using our secure video channel.

Vern Chandler2024-03-19Dr Shobowale is excellent and her staff is great!!! When I first came in my foot was so swollen that I couldn’t wear my shoes and I could barely walk. I thought I had a bunionette but Dr Shobowale diagnosed it as an advanced case of gout that was swollen with tophi. They immediately decided to open it up and drain as much tophi as they could. When that was done she prescribed gout medication and antibiotics. It felt better almost immediately and 2 weeks down the road I was able to walk a mile a day. I still need to visit my primary and a rheumatologist for long term solutions but Dr Shobowale and staff got me on my feet again and bought me time to return to Minnesota.

Sonja Rodgers2024-03-13If I could give zero stars I would!! I visited my PCP doctor in December 2023 and requested a referral for a podiatrist. The referral was sent to Dr. Shobowale's office and it took a bit of time for them to call me. They finally call me to state they received the referral and I could schedule an appointment. I schedule the appointment on-line for a Saturday in February. I received confirmation emails and texts confirming the appointment. The day before the appointment I receive a confirmation text. A short time after the text, I receive a call from Alexa with the office to say that my appointment is cancelled because that particular Saturday is not a day they are open. What??? I was livid!!! I explained to her that I don't understand why I was able to schedule the appointment if that was not a Saturday they were open. She had no answer and tried to fast talk to scheduling for a different day. Against my better judgement, I reschedule for this upcoming Saturday, March 16th. Now I scheduled in February. I received email and text confirmations - Monday and one earlier today. Well guess what? Yep, Alexa just called me to cancel my appointment. Same sloppy, unprofessional, fast talking again!! At this point, I told her to simply cancel me for good. I don't know how anyone has been able to see this doctor because I can never get in!!! I really wanted to take care of the issues I have (since December 2023) and the only thing they seem to be successful with is cancelling my appointments!!! HORRIBLE impression and I do not appreciate it!!!!!

But the main thing I loved about Dr. Shobowale she didn't make me feel humiliated when I suffered a panic attack of being stuck with a needle. Thank you, Dr. Shobowale.
