Will my child’s Foot Pain go Away?

Foot pain in children is not normal
Foot pain in children is not normal

Foot pain should never be a part of a child’s life! The body’s way of informing you when something is amiss is pain. It is critical that you bring your kid to our Houston podiatry office if he or she is experiencing discomfort during normal everyday activities. Foot pain, ankle pain, knee pain, hip pain, and back pain can all stem from a child’s feet.

This is not to argue that children will not experience pain from time to time. At some point in their lives, all children will suffer “growing pains” or cramping. However, this will usually only last one or two days at a time. They do not need to see a doctor if this is the case. Injuries to the foot and ankle might occur among more active children participating in sports in Houston. Sprains and fractures are examples of these injuries. After any serious sports injury, you should always have your child evaluated to verify that the growth plates have not been damaged.
